Welcome to DermaNurse Clinic. By booking an appointment or receiving treatment, you agree to the following Terms, Conditions & Cancellation Policy. This policy explains how appointments, consultations, treatments and cancellations are managed and is designed to support client safety and the smooth operation of the clinic.
Appointment times are reserved exclusively for each client. Please read the following policy carefully before booking. By booking an appointment with DermaNurse Clinic, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to this policy.
DermaNurse Clinic reserves the right to amend these Terms, Conditions & Cancellation Policy at any time.
If you have any questions regarding the Terms, Conditions & Cancellation Policy, please contact DermaNurse Clinic prior to booking your appointment.
Cancellations:
Consultations:
A non-refundable, non-transferable booking fee of £50.00 is required to secure all new client consultation appointments.
This fee covers the reservation of your appointment, administration of your booking, review of submitted consultation information (where applicable), and the professional clinical assessment and advice provided during your consultation.
All new clients are required to attend a consultation before treatment can be provided. During your consultation, your medical history, treatment goals, expectations and suitability for treatment will be assessed.
Payment of the booking fee and attendance at a consultation do not guarantee that treatment will be recommended or carried out. DermaNurse Clinic reserves the right to decline or postpone treatment where it is not clinically appropriate or safe to proceed.
Treatment Cancellations:
The full treatment fee is payable at the time of booking.
Once treatment has been booked, clients are required to provide at least 7 working days' notice if they wish to cancel or reschedule their appointment.
Where less than 7 working days' notice is given, or a client fails to attend without notifying us ("no shows"), DermaNurse clinic may retain up to 100% of the treatment fee where the appointment cannot reasonably be filled. This reflects the loss incurred by reserving clinical time exclusively for that client.
Late Arrivals:
If you arrive late for your appointment, we will do our best to accommodate you. However, your appointment and treatment time may need to be shortened to avoid delaying other clients.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may be unable to carry out your treatment safely or within the allocated appointment time. In these circumstances, the relevant cancellation terms within this policy will apply.
Terms & Conditions:
Professional Standards:
DermaNurse Clinic is committed to providing safe, ethical and evidence based care. All treatments are performed by a Registered Nurse in accordance with current professional standards, clinical guidelines and applicable legislation. Client safety and wellbeing will always take priority.
Illness & Contraindications:
Treatment may be postponed or declined if it is not clinically appropriate or safe to proceed. This includes, but is not limited to, illness, infection, pregnancy, certain medications or newly disclosed medical conditions or any contraindications identified during your consultation or before treatment. In these circumstances, the relevant cancellation terms within this policy will apply.
Patch Testing:
Certain treatments may require a patch test before treatment can be carried out.
Where a patch test is required, this will be undertaken during your consultation. Treatment will not proceed unless it has been completed within the required timeframe and no adverse reaction has occurred. It is the client's responsibility to attend this appointment and follow all pre and post treatment instructions provided.
Patch tests are performed to assess skin suitability and reduce the risk of adverse reactions; however, they do not guarantee that reactions will not occur.
Medical History:
Clients must provide complete and accurate information regarding their medical history, medication, allergies and previous treatments.
Any changes to your health, medication or medical history must be disclosed before every appointment.
Failure to provide accurate and up to date medical information may result in treatment being postponed, declined or discontinued. The clinic cannot accept responsibility for complications arising from withheld information.
Client Responsibilites:
Clients are responsibile for arriving on time, providing accurate medical information, following all pre-treatment and post-treatment advice, attending any required consultations/patch tests, informing DermaNurse clinic of any changes to their health, medications or medical history prior to each appointment and asking any questions they have prior to treatment. Failure to comply with these responsibilites may result in treatment being postponed or declined.
Clients are responsible for informing DermaNurse Clinic immediately if they experience any unexpected symptoms, reactions or concerns promptly following treatment, so that appropriate clinical advice can be provided.
Clients must attend appointments fully prepared. If treatment cannot proceed due to unsuitable hair length, failure to disclose changes to your medical history, medication or health, or failure to follow pre-treatment advice, the full treatment fee may be retained in accordance with the clinic's cancellation policy.
Clinical Judgement:
As a Registered Nurse, all treatment decisions are made in the interest of client safety and professional clinical judgement.
DermaNurse Clinic reserves the right to refuse or discontinue treatment where it is considered clinically inappropriate or unsafe.
Suitability for Treatment:
Treatment may be postponed or declined if you are experiencing illness, infection, pregnancy, newly diagnosed medical conditions, the use of certain medications, or have any contraindications that make treatment unsuitable.
Treatment Results:
Individual treatment results may vary between clients and cannot be guaranteed.
Estimated treatment numbers discussed during consultation are guidelines only and may vary between individuals.
The number of treatments required and the outcome achieved will depend on individual factors such as skin type, hair type, medical history, medication, pigment type, hair growth cycles, hormones, lifestyle and compliance with aftercare advice.
Risks & Complications:
While every effort is made to provide safe and effective treatment, all aesthetic and electrolysis procedures carry potential risks and side effects. These may include, but are not limited to, temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising, temporary skin irritation, pigment changes, scabbing, infection, allergic reactions, delayed healing and, in rare cases, scarring. Other recognised complications may also occur depending on individual circumstances. These risks will be discussed during your consultation, and informed consent will be obtained prior to treatment.
Consent:
Informed consent will be obtained prior to treatment being carried out. Clients may withdraw their consent at any time before treatment commences. DermaNurse Clinic reserves the right to postpone or decline treatment where valid informed consent cannot be obtained.
Pre & Post Treatment Care:
Clients agree to follow all pre-treatment and post-treatment advice provided by DermaNurse Clinic.
Failure to follow these instructions may affect treatment results and increase the risk of adverse reactions, irritation, complications or reduced treatment effectiveness. DermaNurse Clinic cannot accept responsibility for complications arising from failure to follow these instructions.
Clients undergoing electrolysis treatments will be required to avoid sun exposure, tanning products, active skincare ingredients and certain medications. The clinic reserves the right to refuse treatment where client safety may be compromised.
Pricing:
Treatment prices are subject to change without prior notice.
The price confirmed at the time of your booking will apply to your appointment unless otherwise agreed.
Photography:
Clinical photographs form part of your confidential medical record and will be taken before and after treatment to monitor progress, maintain accurate clinical records and satisfy insurance requirements.
Images will only be used for marketing, education or social media purposes with your consent.
Age Restrictions:
Clients must be 18 years of age or over for treatment.
Personal Belongings:
Clients are responsible for their personal belongings while attending the clinic. DermaNurse Clinic cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal property.
Children & Guests:
For health, safety, insurance and confidentiality reasons, children and additional guests should not attend appointments.
DermaNurse Clinic reserves the right to refuse entry where this may disrupt clinic operations or compromise safety.
Liability:
DermaNurse Clinic will provide all treatments with reasonable care, skill and professional judgement. Nothing within these Terms, Conditions & Cancellation Policy excludes or limits any liability where it cannot legally be excluded under UK law.
Except where required by law, DermaNurse Clinic is not liable for treatment outcomes affected by incomplete or inaccurate medication information, failure to follow pre or post treatment advice, failure to disclose medical conditions or circumstances beyond the clinic's reasonable control.
